We've been on that same journey; it's probably a reflective look at how unique our outlook on life really is and the best writers start from the roots, the difficulties, the errors, the lessons, hardships, and as you pointed out, the outside looking in.. I think people will never understand our journey, story, the passion for what we do as they assume their own judgements (They see what they want to see) but it does not define us.. It defines them and tells us a lot about their narrow mindness. Well done on finding yourself and finally accepting you for who you are and allowing for it to shine through, it is then we realise who are true to us. I came out when I was 14, and that was probably the most difficult time of my life; I lost friends, and obviously they were not worthy to be called that in the first place, it was better to be alone than to be surrounded by those who don't understand. My family didn't accept me, so in a state of denial I dated guys, to feel what ever normal was thought to be, did not feel right because I too wasn't really being me, then one day I threw that caution to the wind and met someone of my tribe and everybody just left me alone - being open has given me the strength to remain strong. Xx
